                                       Cheri Alexander has worked in a variety of medical disciplines in New York and Oklahoma since receiving her Baccalaureate degree in Biology and English in 1969. She also holds a certificate in Medical Technology. Ms. Alexander comes to the University from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Since January of 1995, she has been the business and office manager for Clinical Research and Special Projects as well as the coordinator for the summer Undergraduate Research Internship program.

She is responsible for administering the budgets of special projects such as the Primary Care Education Projects in Winnsboro, Kershaw, and Bennettsville and various telemedicine initiatives as well as Clinical Research projects dealing with the Centers of Research Excellence.   She also manages the operational expenses of the department. 

                                                    Ms. Alexander is the assistant to Dr. Stanley Fowler, Associate Dean f                                                   for Clinical Research and Special Projects.
