                                       Mr. Ross retired from the United States Air Force in 1992, with the rank of full colonel after completing 26 years of active duty service. During his tours of duty, he served as a commander and worked in the financial and medical career fields.  Tom holds a MBA in Management from Saint Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama and in health care administration from Bellevue University, Bellevue, Nebraska. 

Prior to joining the University of South Carolina School of Medicine staff, Mr. Ross served as a senior business manager, controller, and administrator for large, hospital-based surgical and ophthalmology practices, a nursing home, and a health care education center.

Mr. Ross is the project coordinator for the South Carolina Telemedicine Network that consists of seven rural primary health care centers and three metropolitan hospital sites. He is responsible for facilitating the operation and scheduling SCTN, establishing protocols, training personnel, purchasing equipment, and obtaining telecommunications contracts. He also manages reimbursement issues for services provided to patients.  Mr. Ross is from Dalzell, South Carolina.
